Scope
This policy applies to the website evencat.com.tw, in both its Chinese and English versions, operated by Evencat Co., Ltd. ("we", "us" or "Evencat"). We process your personal data under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). If you visit this site from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this policy also describes the rights you have under the GDPR and the UK GDPR.
What data we collect
1. Data you give us
When you use the contact form to request a quotation, ask about rental or request technical support, we collect the name, company, job title, email address, phone number, country, industry, inquiry type, subject and message you enter. We use this data only to answer your inquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up on the business relationship. If you tick the box to receive product information, we send occasional product and event news; you can ask us to stop at any time by email.
2. Site usage records
Our server records the path of each page view, the referring URL, the country (as provided by our hosting provider) and the time of the visit. We use these records to see which products draw interest and to improve the site. They need no cookie and are never combined with your name or email address.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses the following cookies:
- evc_lang (necessary): remembers the language version you chose. Kept for 12 months.
- evc_consent (necessary): remembers your cookie choices. Kept for 12 months.
- evc_s, evc_v, evc_vc, evc_lastvisit, evc_sp (analytics): our own anonymous browsing records, used to count sessions and the products you viewed. They contain no personally identifying information and are set only after you consent.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (advertising): used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. A cookie is set only after you consent; without consent Google receives only a cookieless, anonymous signal.
You can change your choices at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Storage and sharing
Contact form data is stored in our cloud-hosted database and is also forwarded to the customer management system of our affiliated company for sales follow-up. We do not sell your data or pass it to other third parties, except where the law requires it. When a manufacturer's quotation is needed, we share the necessary details of your inquiry with the manufacturer only after informing you.
Inquiry records are kept for 5 years after the business relationship ends. Site usage records are kept for 24 months. Cookie retention periods are listed above.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to access, view, copy, supplement, correct, stop the processing of or delete your personal data, and you may withdraw consent you gave earlier. Email info@evencat.com.tw and we will reply within 30 days. Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
Data security
The whole site is served over HTTPS. The contact form is rate limited and filtered for spam, and the back office is restricted to authorized staff.
Changes to this policy
Any revision to this policy is published on this page with an updated date. For significant changes we post a notice in a prominent place on the site.
