The Mi-Wave 690 Series is straight rectangular waveguide in the standard WR sizes, built from MIL-SPEC tube and flanges, from X-band at 8.2 GHz up to WR-2.2 at 500 GHz. It is the plain transmission element that radar feed networks, satellite feeds, mm-wave test benches and high-power microwave sub-systems are assembled from. Careful control of the geometry keeps discontinuities, distortion and impedance mismatch small, so the loss through a section stays very low. Evencat is an authorized Mi-Wave distributor in Taiwan.

Overview

The 690 Series follows the IEEE/EIA WR designations and lists 14 band models between 8.2 GHz and 500 GHz: X, K, Ka, Q, U, V, E, W, F, D, G, H and J bands plus WR-2.2. Every section uses MIL-SPEC waveguide tube and flanges, and the interfaces are controlled in manufacture so reflection and loss stay low across the band. The flange for each band is the usual one: UG-39/U for X-band, UG-595/U for K, UG-599/U for Ka, UG-383/U for Q and U, and UG-387/U or UG-387/U-M from V-band upward. Typical VSWR runs from 1.06:1 in the lower bands to 1.15:1 at mm-wave. Standard lengths depend on the raw waveguide Mi-Wave has in stock, so confirm the available length before you commit a layout; special lengths, alternative flange arrangements and other conductor materials are quoted to order. Test data is taken at +25 °C case temperature.

In C through Ka band earth stations, straight sections form the low-loss path between the dish feed horn and the LNA, so the weak downlink signal is not eroded before it reaches the receive chain. Standard WR flanges and MIL-SPEC build shorten integration and field replacement.
