SYSTEM 8 Custom Solutions is ABI Electronics' modular approach: pick any combination of modules from the BoardMaster 8000Plus range, mixing analog and digital test techniques as the job demands. Choose the BoardMaster 8000Plus bench chassis with a built-in motherboard and six modules, or an external case fitted with two Board Fault Locators. Labs and repair centers use it to build the test set that fits a specific application.
Overview
SYSTEM 8 Custom Solutions builds on the modular design of the SYSTEM 8 range and lets you combine the modules your application actually needs into a board fault diagnosis and test platform. The available modules are the Programmable Power Supply (PPS), Multiple Instrument Station (MIS), Advanced Matrix Scanner (AMS), Analogue IC Tester (AICT), Advanced Test Module (ATM) and Board Fault Locator (BFL), covering both analog and digital test techniques. For the chassis there are three routes: the BoardMaster 8000Plus bench unit with an integrated motherboard and six modules, an external case with two Board Fault Locators and six modules, or the 5 Bay external case holding four modules plus two Board Fault Locators. The whole system runs under SYSTEM 8 Premier software, and TestFlow turns a troubleshooting routine into on-screen steps that a semi-skilled operator can follow to the end. From design verification through production test to maintenance and repair, the platform gives full fault coverage on analog, digital and mixed boards. Custom configurations also suit high-volume and end-of-line test fixtures and stations.
