620UK-B
UL-913 intrinsically safe portable bonding milliohmmeter for aerospace electrical bonds
620UK-B is a reasonably priced, accurate and intrinsically safe electrical bond tester for measuring bond resistance on metal-to-metal joints and components of every kind. It is UL-913 certified and MIL-STD-810F compliant, so it can be used safely in fueled areas. Many USAF maintenance units have made it their standard bonding tester.
Overview
AMPTEC 620UK-B is a portable bonding milliohmmeter for aerospace and military maintenance. It offers two ranges, 200 mΩ and 2 Ω, with accuracy of ± .05% of reading & range on a 4½-digit LCD. Measurements are four-wire at a nominal 100 mA test current, which gives a trustworthy bond reading on metal-to-metal joints and on components. Intrinsic safety is independently certified to UL-913, and the meter complies with MIL-STD-810F, so it works safely in fuel-vapor hazardous areas. Four AA 1.5 VDC alkaline cells power it and the unit weighs about 3.2 lbs. Every AMPTEC instrument is made in the USA and ships with an N.I.S.T calibration certificate and a one-year warranty. The NSN listing is what makes it the bonding tester USAF maintenance units order by default; if you buy through military supply, quote NSN 6625-01-542-7487.

Features
UL-913 intrinsic safety
Independently certified to UL-913 and compliant with MIL-STD-810F, so it can be used in fuel-vapor hazardous areas during field maintenance.
Accurate bond resistance
Two ranges, 200 mΩ and 2 Ω, accurate to ± .05% of reading & range with resolution down to 0.01 mΩ, enough for strict bond inspections.
Four-wire at 100 mA
A nominal 100 mA test current reads low bond values accurately on metal-to-metal joints and on components.
Battery powered and portable
Four AA 1.5 VDC alkaline cells and about 3.2 lbs make it easy to carry on site and in the field.
4½-digit LCD
The 4½-digit LCD updates every 3 seconds, and the meter operates from −20° to 50° C.
The aerospace and military default
Made in the USA with an N.I.S.T calibration certificate and one-year warranty, the bonding tester many USAF maintenance units rely on.
Typical applications

Aerospace maintenance
Airframe bond verification on military and commercial aircraft
Aircraft maintenance engineers measure milliohm-level resistance at airframe bond points, including fuel system lines, door hinges and structural members, to confirm the static dissipation path meets specification and no charge can accumulate in fuel vapor. Because 620UK-B is UL-913 intrinsically safe it can be used in fueled bays and other high-risk areas without a hot-work permit or extra protective equipment.
Defense procurement
USAF programs and military acceptance testing
Defense contractors and USAF maintenance wings running acceptance or periodic verification to MIL-STD-810F need a standardized instrument with a national stock number (NSN #6625-01-542-7487) for logistics and audit trails. 620UK-B is used across many USAF programs and operates from -20° to 50°C, matching the harsh conditions of flight lines and ramps.

Hazardous locations
Grounding and equipotential bonding checks in ATEX zones
Petrochemical plants, fuel depots and other facilities with explosive gas atmospheres (Zone 0/1) must verify the ground continuity of tankers, pipelines and equipment enclosures without stopping production. 620UK-B holds EU ATEX approval (EEX-9B-IIC-T4) for the most demanding IIC gas group, so safety staff complete bond measurements in the live hazardous area without isolating equipment or halting operations.
